Vehicles which are hard to start or will not start when attempting a cold start may have a flooding condition which can be eliminated using the following starting procedure.
^ Depress accelerator to approximately 1/4 (25%) part throttle condition, then crank the engine.
^ If the vehicle still doesn't start, depress the accelerator to the "wide open" position and then crank the engine.
If engine still does not start, perform TSB 85-14-14.
NOTE: Refer to TSB 85-24-14 for "Hard Stop" specification when the vehicle is equipped with the 1986 processor.
