Noise from the stabilizer bar insulators during suspension movement can be serviced by installing new insulators using the following procedure.
Figure 9:
1. Remove bolts and U-brackets from body and pull down on stabilizer bar (Figure 9).
2. Remove insulators from stabilizer bar and clean the bar surface from the insulator area to each end with Ford Spot Remover, part number B7A-19521-A.
3. Liberally lubricate the stabilizer bar surface at the insulator location with Ford Rubber Insulator Lubricant, part number E25Y-19553-A.
4. Obtain two new stabilizer bar insulators and apply lubricant to the inside diameter of the insulators.
NOTE: Use only the Ford Rubber Insulator Lubricant, E25Y-19553-A, for this procedure.
STABILIZER BAR INSULATOR AND U-BRACKET TORQUE CHART:
5. Install insulators, U-brackets and new bolts. Tighten to specified torques as outlined in the following chart.
