SQUEAK NOISE - SEAT BACK RUBS ON DOOR ARM REST

A squeak may be caused by the front seat back rubbing against the door arm rest on vehicles equipped with power seats. This may also cause a wearing of the material on the arm rest and seat back. To correct this condition; a spacer washer should be installed between the seat cushion frame and the seat track. Follow the instructions below for installation.
1. Remove the seat and track assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Section 41-08 of the appropriate Shop Manual.
2. Remove the seat cushion from the track. Refer to Section 41-08 of the appropriate Shop Manual.

3. Place one or two spacer washers (44724-S2), as necessary, over the rear outboard attaching screw (N801078-S2) (track to cushion) as shown in Figure 3 and secure in position.
4. Secure the seat track to the seat cushion. Refer to Section 41-08 of the appropriate Shop Manual.
5. Secure the seat and track assembly in the vehicle. Refer to Section 41-08 of the appropriate Shop Manual.
6. Check track movement and seat back recliner to ensure proper functioning and clearance between the seat back and arm rest.
