SERVICE PARTS RETURN OF OBSOLETE ENGINE EMISSIONS CONTROL MODIFICATION KITS - EMISSIONS RECALL 91E17

WARNING:
THIS MODIFICATION IS AUTHORIZED ONLY FOR THE LISTED ENGINE. PERFORMING THIS MODIFICATION ON OTHER ENGINE CALIBRATIONS IS UNAUTHORIZED AND COULD CREATE LIABILITY UNDER APPLICABLE FEDERAL OR LOCAL LAWS.

ISSUE:
In August all dealers were requested to discontinue the installation of Emissions Recall 91E17 until further instructions were received. The installation of these kits has in some instances resulted in "Recalled" vehicles not passing emissions tests. Part number (E6FZ-6C324-G) should be removed from inventory and returned to your facing PDC within 30 days of this TSB.

ACTION:
Return Engine Emissions Control Kit (E6FZ-6C324-G) trom your dealership's inventory.

1. Return obsolete kits to your facing PDC using the least expensive transportation.

2. If claim is processed electronically via DOES II, use return code "GB"; otherwise, complete a separate paper claim form FPS-340 using return code "J".

3. In the Remarks Section write "Returned per TSB 93-1-11", Emissions Recall 91E17.

LIMITS

^ The returns must be received withi'n 30 days from the date of this TSB.

^ Returns are restricted to the subject parts.

^ The parts returned must have been purchased from FPSD in accordance with Policy and Procedure Bulletin 4000.

CREDIT

Credit for parts and prepaid freight costs will be issued.

NOTE:
ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING WORK IS BEING DONE TO CORRECT THE EMISSIONS RECALL. FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE ISSUED VIA OASIS AS SOON AS ENGINEERING DATA IS AVAILABLE.
