ISSUE:
A no start and/or alternator light/gauge that indicates a "no charge" condition may be caused by broken locking fingers on the alternator regulator connector which allows the connector to work loose.
ACTION:
To correct this, install a new design connector (E7DZ-14489-B) using the following service procedure.
Figure 5:
1. Locate the alternator regulator connector at rear of alternator, Figure 5.
2. Obtain the following parts for service repair:
NOTE:
Cut wires as close to old connector as possible.

E4AZ-14474-F Terminal (14 gauge) for yellow/white -
One (1) required
E7FZ-14474-AA Terminal (18 gauge) for light green/red
and white/black wires - Two (2) required
3. Cut off broken connector, marking the three (3) wires to make sure they are installed in new connector in their correct position.
4. Crimp terminals to wires and insert in the new connector. Install connector to alternator regulator and check charging system.
