A vacuum leak at the PCV connection of the intake manifold vacuum tree may cause a rough idle, hard cold starting or other driveability concerns. During extreme engine roll, the PCV vacuum line may be damaged due to contact between the vacuum tree and the A/C dryer line. To provide additional clearance a new shorter vacuum tree should be installed. The vacuum line should then be rerouted using the reinforced hose elbow, refer to Figure 14.
