LINCOLN-MERCURY 1986 LYNX

The right hand outside mirror assembly may loosen at the attaching studs. This is caused by the nut and washer assembly being too large and interfering with the flange on the mirror reinforcement assembly. To correct this, install two new design nut and washer assemblies that use smaller washers. Refer to the 1986 Escort/Lynx/EXP Shop Manual, Section 42-25 for the removal and installation procedure.
