Affected Vehicles
1986 Model Escort, Lynx and EXP cars serviced under Emissions Recalls 93E38 and 93E39 prior to August 1, 1994.

Reasons For Recall
A recent survey of affected cars conducted by Ford and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revealed that some of the cars may not have had all of the recall service correctly completed.

Owner Contact
Owners of affected cars will be notified to return for service verification.

Service To Be Provided
Cars returned will be inspected to verify correctness of four specific steps of the service procedure.

Special Authority Required
Cars inspected having one or more of the steps not completed correctly are to be corrected. Dealers MUST call 1-800-325-5621, to obtain authorization to proceed with this service.
