Front
Removal
1. Remove attaching nuts and front washers/covers from ends of stabilizer bar.
2. Remove four bolts securing two U-brackets and torque brace to body.
3. Remove one control arm pivot bolt and pull control arm out of crossmember.
4. Pull stabilizer out of lower control arms and remove from vehicle.
5. Remove rear washers/covers from stabilizer bar.
6. Remove insulators from stabilizer bar.
Installation
1. Coat inside of stabilizer bar bushings and bushing surfaces on stabilizer bar with suitable non-petroleum lubricant, then install body insulators on stabilizer bar.

2. Install rear washers/plastic covers on stabilizer bar. Rear washer has a shallower dish than front washer. When washer is installed, ensure plastic cover is in place between dished steel washer and the bushing and that dished side of steel washer faces away from bushing, Fig. 7.
3. Install stabilizer bar into control arms bushings and install control arm into crossmember with pivot bolt, washer and nut, snugging but not tightening attaching nut.
4. Install U-brackets on insulators and install attaching bolts, torquing to 42-52 ft. lbs.
5. Install front washers/plastic covers on stabilizer bar. Ensure dished side of steel washer faces away from bushing, with plastic cover in place between bushing and steel washer.
6. Install stabilizer bar attaching nuts, snugging but not tightening.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. With vehicle weight on tires, torque stabilizer bar attaching nut to 52-81 ft. lbs. and the control arm pivot bolt nut to 11 ft. lbs. plus an additional 90°.
