ISSUE: Vibrations and "buzzing"/"rattling" noises from the transmission gear shift lever may be exhibited between 2800 and 3200 engine RPM.

ACTION: To correct this, install a new improved transmission extension housing and vibration absorber. Refer to the following step-by-step service procedure.

NOTE: Vehicles built before 02/03/86 should also have the shift knob replaced. The new shift knob (E6RY-7213-A) is softer and does not have an acrylic insert.
