Fig. 1 Engine mounts:
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain engine coolant and oil into suitable containers.
3. Discharge A/C system (if equipped).
4. Remove air filter assembly, battery, battery tray, integrated relay controller, cooling fan assembly and bounce damper bracket.
5. Disconnect radiator hoses from radiator, then remove radiator.
6. Disconnect evaporative emission control hose.
7. Disconnect starter brace, then exhaust pipes from manifolds.
8. disconnect power steering hoses, fuel lines and vacuum hoses.
9. Disconnect engine ground strap, heater hoses, accelerator cable linkage, throttle valve linkage (if equipped w/auto. trans.) and speed control linkage (if equipped).
10. Remove engine mount through bolts, Fig. 1.
11. Disconnect the following wire connectors:
a. Ignition coil.
b. Radio frequency suppressor.
c. Cooling fan voltage resistor.
d. Engine coolant temperature sensor.
e. TFI module.
f. Fuel injector wiring harness.
g. Oil pressure sending switch.
h. Ground wire.
i. Block heater (if equipped).
j. Knock sensor.
k. EGO sensor.
l. Oil level sensor.
12. Install suitable engine lifting equipment and remove engine assembly.
