ISSUE: High brake pedal efforts (force required to activate brakes) may be experienced on early built 1986 Taurus/Sable brake systems. The high pedal efforts do not affect the brake system's performance.

ACTION: Dealers may install the 1987 design brake booster (E7DZ-2005-A) to resolve customer concerns of high brake pedal efforts. Refer to the 1986 Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, Section 12-50-2.

NOTE: If dealerships have any E6DZ-2005-A booster assemblies in their inventory stock, these boosters should be used for concerns other than high brake pedal efforts.
