ISSUE: A "squeaking" noise from the front and rear door hinges may occur when the door is opened and closed. This is caused by the hinge locating pins scraping the edges of the door locating slots.
ACTION: To correct this, lubricate hinges using the following service procedure.
Figure 1:
1. Open door all the way.
2. Loosen two (2) screw and washer assemblies on door upper hinge to allow a space between hinge on door and hinge on body, Figure 1.
NOTE: Do not remove screw and washer assemblies.
3. Spray polyethylene grease (D7AZ-19584-AA) into open space provided between hinge on door and hinge on body until grease runs down between locating pin and locating slot, Figure 1.
4. Tighten two (2) screw and washer assemblies to 16-25 ft.lbs. (22-34 N-m).
5. Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for door lower hinge.
6. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 for other three (3) doors if required.
