ISSUE: Premature wear or cracking of the front disc brake pads may be caused by the type of organic material used on the backing layer of the disc brake pads.

ACTION: To correct this, install new design front disc brake pads that are made out of a different type of organic material. Refer to the Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, Section 12 for detailed removal and installation procedures.
