Customer concerns of a surging or hunting condition with dealer installed Ford Command Cruise Control (E4FZ-9A818-A) can be corrected by installing a new larger servo/valve body and bracket repair kit (E6PZ- 9R818-A). The technician must first verify that there are no installation errors and that a new restrictor in the valve body will not correct the concern.

To order the repair kit (E6PZ-9RB18-A), dealers must call Ford Command Cruise Control Service collect at (817) 877-4221 and give their dealership name, address, P and A code, VIN number and build date of the vehicle that requires the repair. The repair kit will be shipped directly to the dealer no-charge, provided the dealer returns the old servo/valve body and bracket assembly pre-paid to:

Dealerships that do not return the old assemblies will be charged for the new kit.
