A/T - AOD Valve Body Shoulder Bolt Locations

SUBJECT: 1987 FORD AOD

Two special shoulder bolts are used to align and attach the main control assembly (valve body) to the transmission case.




When servicing the main control assembly, the two shoulder bolts must be re-installed at the correct locations. (See Figure 1)

Installing these bolts at other locations could damage the main control assembly casting and/or cause a misalignment of the main control to transmission case.
