CARES/OASIS TO DETERMINE IF A VEHICLE IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS RECALL,
DEALERS HAVING ACCESS MUST UTILIZE "CARES" (COMPUTER
ASSISTED RECALL SYSTEM) OR "OASIS". (ON-LINE AUTOMOTIVE
SERVICE INFORMATION SYSTEM).
PROMPTLY
CORRECT Affected vehicles on the enclosed list and other eligible vehicles which are brought to your dealership. If no vehicle listing is enclosed, you are not involved at this time, and this Service Recall Bulletin is for information only.
DEALER/OWNER Immediately contact any owner whose name is not on the
CONTACT list. Give owner a copy of the Owner Letter.
DISTRICT/FORD Advise district office if:
CONTACT - an owner cannot be contacted.
- an owner does not make a service date.
Discuss with your Field Service Engineer or supervising Ford location any concerns you may have about this recall.
REIMBURSEMENT
FORM 1864 Only the Form 1864 will be accepted for reimbursement Only the Form 1864 will be accepted for reimbursement under this program. Upon completion of the required service, the Form 1864 must be completely filled out and signed by authorized dealer personnel. Mail the second copy of the Form 1864 for reimbursement.
It is important that all claims be filed for all completed units so that you will be reimbursed and our records will show completion.
FOR REFUNDS Use Form 1863, cross reference 1864 number and use:
- 89S73 as Program Code
- 5861705 as Basic Part Number
- OB as Condition Code
