Windshield A Pillar Moulding - Clicking Noise

Article No. NOISE - CLICKING - WINDSHIELD "A" PILLAR
87-5-2 MOULDING

FORD 1987 THUNDERBIRD

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1987 COUGAR

ISSUE: An intermittent "clicking" noise from the windshield "A" pillar while traveling on rough roads may be caused by the urethane tape coming in contact with the glass.

ACTION: To correct this, install a new design moulding. Black sealer (D6AZ-19560- A) should be applied over existing holes prior to installation. The new moulding assemblies are to be attached with the screws packaged with the moulding. Refer to the 1987 Car Shop Manual, Section 43-11-1 for the removal and installation procedure.
