Test 10, Static Timing Check

1. Check engine static timing.
2. If rotor tip aligns with No. 1 in distributor cap, problem is not in ignition system secondary circuit.
3. If rotor tip does not align with No. 1 in distributor cap, loosen distributor clamp hold down bolt and turn distributor base to align rotor and distributor. If rotor-to-distributor misalignment is excessive, camshaft timing should be checked.
