SEDAN MODELS1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove stabilizer bar-to-link attaching nuts, washers and insulators from both sides. Remove U-bracket attaching bolts, then the stabilizer bar.
3. Remove link-to-strut attaching nuts, washers and insulators.
4. Inspect attaching parts for damage and replace as necessary.
5. Using new attaching parts, reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque link-to-strut attaching nuts to 6---12 ft. lbs.
b. Torque U-bracket attaching bolts to 15---25 ft. lbs.
c. Torque stabilizer bar-to-link attaching nuts to 6---12 ft. lbs.
WAGON MODELS
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove U-bracket retaining nuts and bolts from either side, then slide U-brackets and insulators from stabilizer bar.
3. Remove link-to-body bracket attaching nuts and bolts, then the stabilizer and link assemblies.
4. Slide link assemblies from stabilizer bar.
5. Inspect attaching parts for damage and replace as necessary.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new nuts and bolts, then torque link-to-body bracket attaching nuts and bolts to 40---55 ft. lbs.
b. Install new nuts and bolts, then torque U-bracket attaching nuts and bolts to 20---30 ft. lbs.
