ISSUE: Power door locks on vehicles equipped with keyless entry may activate when the interior courtesy/dome lamps are turned on or off using the instrument panel head lamp switch or thumb wheel switch. An electrical signal is needed for the automatic lock to tell the microprocessor that all the doors are closed. The interior lights are used as this signal. When the interior lights go out, a signal is sent to the microprocessor. Turning the interior lights on and off with the head lamp switch or thumb wheel switch gives the microprocessor the same signal as closing the door.
