TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Replace the spindles following the removal and installation procedures in Attachments I and II.(see pages 4, 5, & 6) Check and reset rear wheel alignment to alignment specifications shown in Attachment III.
MUTILATE AND SCRAP THE REPLACED SPINDLES.

PARTS REQUIREMENTS:

Parts are being direct shipped for this recall. If additional parts are required, for this recall, do not order the parts from Windsor Export Supply.

IF PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE WHEN AN OWNER BRINGS A CAR IN FOR THIS RECALL, OFFER A LOANER VEHICLE TO THE OWNER, AT NO CHARGE. FORD WILL REIMBURSE YOU FOR REASONABLE COSTS. OWNERS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED TO LEAVE THEIR CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP WHILE AWAITING PARTS.

LABOR ALLOWANCES:

Replace Both Rear Spindles . . . . 1.8 Hrs. Insert In Box "B" on Form 1864 (Includes toe adjust)

Administrative Allowance . . . . . 0.1 Hrs.

The 0.1 Hour Administrative Allowance must be added to the repair time before inserting the total labor time in the correct box.

REPORTING OF COMPLETIONS:

Only the Form 1864 will be accepted for reimbursement on this program. Upon completion of the required service, the Form 1864 must be completely filled out and signed by authorized dealer personnel. The second copy of Form 1864 must be submitted for reimbursement. It is important that all claims be submitted for all completed units so that you will be reimbursed and our records will show completion. Any problem encountered with this recall should be reported to your supervising Ford location or this office.
