CARES/OASIS
DEALERS IN PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS MUST USE CARES OR OASIS TO DETERMINE IF A VEHICLE IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS RECALL.
Tell owners of any other recalls that may be uncompleted. Complete all recalls during a single visit by the owner.
PLEASE NOTE
CORRECT ALL VEHICLES IN STOCK BEFORE DELIVERY.
PROMPTLY CORRECT
Affected units on the enclosed list and other eligible vehicles which are brought to your dealership.
If no vehicle linting is enclosed, you are not involved at this time, and this Service Recall Bulletin is for information only.
NOTICE Owners may inform the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration if the recall is:
- not performed without charge.
- not performed in a reasonable time.
DEALER-OWNER CONTACT
Immediately contact any owner whose name is not on the list. Give the owner a copy of the Owner letter.
CORPORATE CONTACT
Promptly report (to your supervising location or Wixom) any instances in which:
- an owner cannot be contacted.
- an owner does not make a service date.
CORPORATE ASSISTANCE
Any problems encountered with this recall should be discussed with your supervising Ford location or reported to this office.
REPORTING COMPLETIONS
Only the Form 1864 will be accepted for reimbursement under this program. Upon completion of the required service, the Form 1864 must be completely filled out and signed by authorized dealer personnel.
CLAIM SUBMISSION
Dealers must mail the second copy of the Form 1864 for reimbursement. It in important that claims be filed for all completed units so that you will be reimbursed and our records will show completion.
