Inspect the Exhaust System Catalyst and, If Necessary, Replace the Catalyst Assembly; Prepare the Removed Catalyst for Return; Prepare and Attach the Preprinted Authorized Modifications Decal (Provided in the Parts Kit or With This Bulletin).

^ PARTS RETURN

REMOVED CATALYSTS MUST BE RETURNED; PARTS DISPOSITION TAG (FPS-700) WILL BE ISSUED. FAILURE TO RETURN THE CATALYSTS WILL RESULT IN CLAIM CHARGE BACK. (REFER TO THE PARTS RETURN INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN ATTACHMENT II, AND TO WARRANTY AND POLICY MANUAL SECTION 7.0, PAGES 7 AND 10.)

^ PARTS DISPOSITION TAG (FPS-700)

AN FPS-700 TAG WILL BE SENT FOR EVERY CLAIM SUBMITTED FOR CARS SERVICED UNDER THIS RECALL.

NOTE:
REMOVED CATALYSTS ARE TO BE RETURNED TO THE ADDRESS SHOWN ON THE REVERSE OF THE FPS-700 TAG.

^ PARTS KITS

SIX DIFFERENT SELF-CONTAINED PARTS KITS ARE AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THIS RECALL DEPENDING UPON THE CARLINE BEING SERVICED. PLEASE HAVE THE NECESSARY KITS AVAILABLE.


PARTS RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

REMOVED CATALYSTS MUST BE RETURNED.

REMOVE EXCESS WEIGHT FROM THE CATALYSTS BY CUTTING AND DISCARDING PIPES/FLANGES AS CLOSE TO THE CATALYST SHELL AS PRACTICAL.

THE FPS-700 PARTS DISPOSITION TAG WILL BE SENT TO YOU FOR EACH VEHICLE SERVICED. REFER TO WARRANTY AND POLICY MANUAL SECTION 7.0, PAGES 7 AND 10. HOLD REMOVED CATALYSTS UNTIL THE FPS-700 TAG IS RECEIVED.

FAILURE TO RETURN REMOVED CATALYSTS WILL RESULT IN CLAIM CHARGEBACK.

RETURN CATALYSTS VIA UNITED PARCEL SERVICE (UPS) TO THE ADDRESS ON THE FPS-700 TAG. CLAIM FOR PREPAID FREIGHT ON DWE USING FORM 1863.
