TRIM - INTERIOR - SUN VISOR COMES LOOSE FROM RETAINING CLIP - VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE 2/23/88

ISSUE: A sun visor on the passenger's side of the vehicle that comes loose from the retaining clip may be caused by inadequate retention qualities of the sun visor retaining clip.

ACTION: To correct this, install a new design sun visor retaining clip that has improved retention qualities. Refer to the following service procedure.

FIGURE 3:

1. Pry open the sun visor clip retaining screw cover, Figure 3.

2. Remove the sun visor clip retaining screw.

3. Remove and throw away the sun visor retaining clip.

4. Position the new sun visor retaining clip to the headliner.


5. Install the sun visor clip retaining screw.

6. Snap shut the sun visor clip retaining screw cover.
