TIRE CARRIER - SWING AWAY - HARDCLOSING EFFORTS

LIGHT TRUCK: 1988 BRONCO II, BRONCO

ISSUE: Hard closing and fastening efforts on the tailgate swing-away spare tire carrier may be caused "over slam" rubber bumper that is too hard.

ACTION: To correct this, install a new softer rubber "over slam" bumper. Refer to the appropriate Light Truck Shop Manual, Section 47.

NOTE: The "over slam" bumper is located on the support assembly. Refer to the 1988 Light Truck Shop Manual, Volume A, Section 47-30-15, Figure 16 or the 1988 Ranger/Bronco 11 Shop Manual, Section 47-Z8-17, Figure 19.
