Engine: Description and Operation

The V6-232 engine is used on 1988 Taurus and Sable models. This engine is basically the same design used on previous models for the exception of a balance shaft assembly. In conjunction with the balance shaft assembly, the cylinder block, camshaft, pistons and oil pump have been revised.
