Fluid Level Check
FLUID LEVEL CHECK1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Move transaxle selector lever through each range, allowing enough time in each range for transaxle to engage. Return selector lever to the Park position and apply parking brake.
NOTE: Do not turn off engine during fluid level check.
3. Clean all dirt from transaxle fluid dip stick cap before removing dipstick from filler tube.
4. Remove dipstick from tube, wipe it clean, then push it all the way back into the tube. Ensure dipstick is fully seated.
5. Pull dipstick out of tube and check fluid level. Fluid should be between the arrows.
6. If vehicle has been operating for an extended period at high speed or in city traffic in hot weather or vehicle is being used to tow a trailer, the transaxle fluid must be allowed to cool for about 30 minutes after the engine has been turned off for an accurate reading to be obtained.
