Ford Motor Company is offering a no-charge Service Program (M67) consisting of additional coverage for the charging system in your (Taurus, Sable, Continental, Econoline or F-Series Truck).

Reason for This Program
Your (Taurus, Sable, Continental, Econoline or F-Series Truck) may experience a battery charging system problem as a result of an open circuit in the alternator.
What Might Happen
If your vehicle should experience the charging problem you may notice a warning light in the dash panel. Also, a dash panel gauge may indicate that the charging system is not functioning.
What We Will Do
If your vehicle has the battery charging system problem as a result of this condition, your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer will repair or replace the alternator. This no-charge service is available through April, 1990.
What You Should Do If Your Vehicle Has This Condition
If your vehicle has this condition, contact your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer. (Dealers have been notified of this service program and can assist you as necessary.)
Refunds
Your dealer will refund you for this service if you paid to have it performed. For a refund, take your paid repair order or parts purchase receipt to your Ford dealer no later than July 31, 1989. The dealer will process a refund if the repair was made prior to the receipt of this letter.
