ACTUATOR INNER CABLE

With engine not operating, remove actuator cable clip. Adjust cable locknut while pushing downward on cable, until a freeplay of .04 to .12 inch is obtained, Fig. 18.

CLUTCH PEDAL HEIGHT

Measure distance from center of clutch pedal to lower dash panel. This distance should be 8.44 to 8.64 inches, Fig. 19. If clutch pedal height is not within specification, loosen clutch pedal switch locknut and adjust switch until proper height is obtained. After completing adjustment, tighten locknut.

BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT

Measure distance from center of brake pedal to lower dash panel. This distance should be 8.62 to 8.82 inches. If adjustment is necessary, disconnect stop lamp switch wire connector, then loosen stop lamp switch locknut. Rotate stop lamp switch until the proper brake pedal height is obtained, then tighten locknut and reconnect electrical connector, Fig. 20.
