Emergency Release Buckle

In the event of an accident, the shoulder belt retractor is designed to lock up in order to protect the occupants and may remain locked up after the accident. If this occurs, unbuckle the shoulder belt at the B-pillar by pressing the red emergency release button on the buckle for the occupant to exit the vehicle.

WARNING: THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN UNLESS THE DOORS ARE FULLY CLOSED AND THE SHOULDER BELTS ARE IN THE LOCKED POSITION AT THE B-PILLAR.
