ISSUE: A "chattering" noise may come from the passive restraint shoulder strap carrier as it travels through the "B" pillar area. This is caused by inadequate lubrication of the upper inside slide surfaces of the carrier's track.
ACTION: Apply about 0.25 oz. of lithium/teflon grease to the track assembly. This can be done without removing the "B" pillar's interior roof side mouldings or the "B" pillar finish mouldings. Refer to Figures 1 & 2 for service details.
