ISSUE: A "whistling" noise that appears to be coming from behind the instrument panel or from the front of the vehicle while driving at highway speeds may be caused by the grille. The grille may not fit tightly to the grille opening panel (GOP). The poor fit results in a gap across the top edge of the grille.
ACTION: Install a piece of foam tape on the backside of the grille to eliminate the gap. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1. Obtain a roll of foam tape, (E4AZ-19627-B).
2. Cut a 26 inch length of foam tape from the roll.
3. Remove the grille from the vehicle. Refer to the appropriate model year Car Shop Manual, Section 47-02 for service details.
4. Clean the top edge of the grille before applying the foam tape.

6. Reinstall the grille on the vehicle. Refer to the appropriate model year Car Shop Manual, Section 47-02 for service details.
