Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Insert radio removing tool Nos., T85M-19061-A or equivalents, one on each side of radio, into access holes until click is heard.
3. Apply an outward side pressure to release locking tangs and slide radio from dash.
4. Disconnect antenna, speaker, ground and power leads from radio.
5. Disengage special tool by depressing locking tangs on sides of radio while applying slight inward pressure on tool, then pull tool from access holes.
6. Remove plastic support bracket and locating plate from rear of receiver.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect power supply, speaker plugs and antenna cable to rear of receiver.
2. Install locating plate and plastic support bracket to rear of receiver and slide receiver into opening until retaining tangs lock.
3. Reconnect battery ground cable.
