Ignition Timing: Adjustments


Refer to Tune Up Specifications chart for correct ignition timing and firing order.
Ignition timing should be checked at every 30,000 mile interval. Check and, if necessary, adjust ignition timing with engine at normal operating temperature. Place transmission selector in Park on automatic transmission or neutral on manual transmission, place A/C control in OFF position, disconnect wiring connector spark output (SPOUT) wire and run engine at idle.
