Front

Removal

1. Remove four bolts securing two U-brackets to chassis.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove attaching nuts and front washers/covers from ends of stabilizer bar.
4. Remove one control arm pivot bolt and pull control arm out of crossmember.
5. Pull stabilizer out of lower control arms and remove from vehicle.
6. Remove rear washers/covers from stabilizer bar.
7. Remove insulators from stabilizer bar. It may be necessary to pry insulators slightly open. Do not pry any more than necessary to avoid damaging the integral metal sleeve.

Installation

1. Apply rubber lubricant to stabilizer bar, then install stabilizer bar insulators with split facing forward.
2. Install rear washers/covers onto stabilizer bar.
3. Position stabilizer bar through control arms, then install front washers/covers and attaching nuts. Do not tighten nuts at this time.
4. Install lower control arm to crossmember, then lower vehicle. Do not tighten pivot bolt at this time.
5. Attach stabilizer bar to chassis. Install U-brackets and torque attaching bolts to 52-66 ft. lbs.
6. With vehicle weight on tires, torque control arm pivot bolt to 22 ft. lbs. plus an additional 90°.
7. Torque stabilizer bar-to-control arm attaching nuts to 52-81 ft. lbs.
