Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Inspect all disassembled components for excessive wear and/or damage. Worn or damaged axle components must be replaced as necessary. Check side gear clearance. Check clearance between side gears and thrust washers. If clearance exceeds .006 inch, replace thrust washers.
