Fig. 2 Adjusting Front Toe-in:
1. Loosen jam nuts at tie rod ends, then release clips securing boots to tie rod.
2. Turn tie rods in or out of tie rod ends as necessary, Fig. 2. Rotate tie rods an equal amount on each side to maintain steering center.
3. Check vehicle front tracking. Refer to alignment manufacturers instruction for front track check procedure.
4. After setting front track, recheck toe-in setting.
5. Torque tie rod end jam nuts to 25.3 to 28.9 ft. lbs., then install clips retaining boots to tie rods.
