This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Ford Motor Company has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 1990 and 1991 Thunderbirds and Cougars.
Safety Defect The nuts which attach the windshield wiper motor of your car may not have been adequately tightened.
If the wiper motor nuts loosen the wiper blades may not clean the windshield as they should. In some cases, the wiper blades may stop operating.
Warning An inoperable wiper system may lead to impaired visibility during inclement weather which may result in a vehicle crash.
Repairs At no cost to you, your dealer will inspect and if necessary, repair the wiper motor attachment of your car.
How long will The time needed to repair your car is about one hour.

making the repair.
When you bring your car in, give the dealer this letter.
If you misplace this letter, your dealer will still do the work, free of charge.
