ISSUE: A vibration may occur in the door speaker area when the radio is played loud with a lot of bass. This happens because the door panel vibrates against the door during loud bass tones.
ACTION: Install foam tape on top of the existing speaker to eliminate the vibration. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1. Remove the door trim panels. Refer to the 1990 Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, Section 45-03, for removal procedure.

2. Add a 6 mm thick piece of foam tape on top of the existing speaker foam gasket as shown in Figure 1.
3. Re-install the door trim panels.
