- EXTENDED COVERAGE FOR 6 YEARS OR 60,000 MILES, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST, FROM ORIGINAL WARRANTY START DATE OR THROUGH JANUARY 1, 1993, WHICHEVER PROVIDES GREATER COVERAGE.

AFFECTED VEHICLES
Certain 1988 through 1991 Taurus/Sable and Continental Front Wheel Drive cars equipped with 3.8L engines built from Job # 1 1988 to August 24, 1991.

REASONS FOR
THIS PROGRAM
Some affected cars may experience premature deterioration of the right front and/or right rear hydraulic engine mounts. Should this occur, the driver may notice an unusual clunking noise on transmission engagement and when starting to accelerate or decelerate.

To correct this condition, dealers are to replace leaking or torn engine mounts.

If either the right front or right rear mount has leaked or torn, dealers are to replace both engine mounts.

REFUNDS
When all or a portion of the repair covered by the program is paid by the owner and/or the dealer prior to the release of the program, both the owner and/or dealer are eligible for a refund.
