Owner Notification Program 94M84 - 1991 Taurus/Sable and Continental - Transaxle - Additional Coverage.

OWNER LIST - No
PARTS RETURN - Yes - For Replacement Assemblies Only
PROGRAM TIMING - Extended coverage for 6 years or 60,000 miles, whichever
occurs first, from original warranty start date, or for 6 months from the date of the owner letter, whichever provides greater coverage.

AFFECTED VEHICLES
All 1991 Model Year Taurus/Sable, and Continentals with automatic transmissions.

REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM
Owners of the affected vehicles may experience erratic transmission operation.

SERVICE ACTION
Cars returned for service under this program will have the automatic transmission repaired. Transmission repairs are not to exceed $1300.00. If repairs are estimated to exceed $1300.00, you are required to install an exchange transmission. If the estimate is under $1300.00 but the actual repair turns out to be over $1300.00, then you need to get district approval. Repairs or replacement are to be at no charge to the customer.

REFUNDS
Only for owner-paid repairs made before the date of the Owner Letter or after the date of the Owner Letter if an emergency repair was made away from the selling dealer.

RENTAL CARS
Ford Motor Company will pay for rental vehicles until new parts arrive and repairs are completed, except for fuel, which will be at owner's expense. Dealers must stay within ASP guidelines of $25.00 per day.
