Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Fuel Filter:

PURPOSE
The fuel filter removes solid particles from the fuel that could clog small orifices inside injectors.

LOCATION
Engine compartment, center of cowl panel.

OPERATION
Fuel flows through the filter before reaching fuel rail and injectors.

CONSTRUCTION
Filter is a high pressure canister with paper element.
