AIR CONDITIONING - POOR COOLING PERFORMANCE - MISSING CONDENSER SEALS
FORD:
1991-92 THUNDERBIRD

ISSUE:
Poor air conditioning cooling performance may be caused by missing A/C condenser front seals to the radiator support. The seals may have been omitted during vehicle assembly. These seals must be in place to assure adequate air flow through the condenser.
ACTION:
Install new seals fabricated from locally avaitable gasket material. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1. Install the seals on the front side of the condenser as shown in Figure 1.
2. Place the adhesive side of the seal toward the condenser.
CAUTION:
BE SURE THAT THE SEAL DOES NOT CONTACT ANY OF THE CONDENSER FINS.
3. Make sure the seals contact the radiator support and are tucked behind the support.
