WINDOW - DOOR - BINDING OR OUT OF CHANNEL
FORD:

ISSUE:
The Door Glass Window may bind. This could cause the window regulator arms to buckle and the door window glass to come out of the window channel.
ACTION:
Replace the glass run assembly with a new improved glass run assembly. The regulator assembly must be replaced even if distortion is not obvious. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. To repair vehicles with the conditions described above, replace the window regulator (less motor) and the glass run assembly. Refer to Section 01-11 of the Service Manual for details.
2. When replacing glass run, use only runs with a long retainer as listed in the parts block.
3. When replacing the window regulator use existing stock, less motor, as listed in the parts block.
NOTE:
THE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY MUST ALWAYS BE REPLACED, EVEN IF DISTORTION TO REGULATOR ARMS IS NOT OBVIOUS.
