Turn Signals: Description and Operation
With the Ignition Switch in RUN, voltage is present at the Multi-Function Switch turn switch contacts through Fuse 10, circuit 294 (W/LB), the Turn Signal Flasher and circuit 44 (W/LB).
Pivoting the Multi-Function Switch lever downward closes the left turn contacts in the Multi-Function Switch. Current now flows through Fuse 10, circuit 294 (W/LB), the Turn Signal Flasher, circuit 44 (LB), the Multi-Function Switch and circuit 3 (LG/W) and 9 (LG/O) to the Left Turn Indicator, the front and rear left turn signal bulbs and the Trailer Left Turn Relay (if equipped).
The Turn Signal Flasher intermittently interrupts current flow to make all left turn signal lamps flash.
Operation of the right turn signals is the same as operation of the left turn signals, except that circuits 2 (W/LB) and 5 (O/LB) are used in place of circuits 3 (LG/W) and 9 (LG/O).
