Trunk / Liftgate: Description and Operation

With the Ignition Switch in RUN, the Manual Lever Position Sensor (MLPS) in NEUTRAL or PARK and the Liftgate Release Switch operated, voltage is applied to the Liftgate Release Relay. The Relay is energized and applies voltage to the Liftgate Release Solenoid to unlatch the Liftgate.
