ISSUE:
The direct one-way clutch assembly has been revised to incorporate the use of new nylon material in the construction of the cage. During installation of the one-way clutch it is important that correct rotational direction is maintained.

ACTION:
When installing the one-way clutch assembly, be sure to observe the following installation guidelines.

^ The two (2) circular depressions on the roller pockets of the nylon cage must be visible when the one-way clutch is installed on inner race.

^ The reaction ears in the cage must match the hook in the inner race cam.





^ The outer race must rotate clockwise and must not rotate when turned in the counter clockwise direction. Refer to Figure 1.

This new direct one-way clutch assembly may be used for service on all AXOD and AXODE transaxles.
