LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1986-92 SABLE

ISSUE:
Some vehicles may exhibit a "clicking" noise coming from the front struts when driving over bumps. This may be caused by the strut dust boot coming in contact with the striker cap of the strut.

ACTION:
Replace the front strut boots with new revised boots. Refer to the following for service details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove both front strut assemblies and replace the dust boots (F3DZ-18159-A). Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for removal and installation procedures.
