ACTION:
Review TSBs 93-12-6, 93-24-8 and 93-26-6 to eliminate other possible concerns. If concern is still present, replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The new PCM has a revised operating strategy to reduce the possibility of idle speed fluctuation. Refer to the following PCM Application Chart and the appropriate year Tempo/Topaz Service Manual for the correct PCM calibration, removal and installation procedures.
Obtain an Authorized Modification Decal (FPS 8262 - obtainable through DOES II, 25/pkg) and list the date, dealer number, and summary of modifications performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
